Man Utd Want Upset Bayern Munich Star As They Ask Barcelona Price In Ambitious Swoop

Man Utd want 'upset' Bayern Munich star as they 'ask' Barcelona for price in ambitious swoop

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, who is said to be 'upset' with his current situation at the club.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the France international for some time, and it is now being reported that they have 'asked' Barcelona about his price.

According to German outlet Sport1, Pavard is 'unhappy' with his lack of playing time at Bayern, and is keen to leave the club in search of regular football.

United are said to be 'monitoring' Pavard's situation, and could make a move for him in the summer transfer window.

Pavard is a versatile defender who can play at right-back or center-back. He has been capped 45 times by France, and was part of the squad that won the 2018 World Cup.

If United were to sign Pavard, he would provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back, and could also be used as a center-back in a back three.

Pavard would be a valuable addition to the United squad, and would give manager Erik ten Hag more options in defense.

However, it is worth noting that Pavard is under contract at Bayern until 2024, and the German club are unlikely to let him leave for a low fee.

United will therefore need to be prepared to pay a significant sum of money if they want to sign Pavard.

It remains to be seen whether United will be able to sign Pavard, but he is certainly a player who would be of interest to them.
