Emerson originally began season with Kings and notched 5 points in 13 games played
The Los Angeles Kings have recalled forward Nelson Emerson from the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League (AHL), the team announced Wednesday.
Emerson began the season with the Kings and registered five points (one goal, four assists) in 13 games played. He was assigned to the Reign on November 21 and has since collected 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 22 games.
Prior to joining the Kings, the 21-year-old Emerson spent four seasons with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he was named the OHL Scholastic Player of the Year in 2020-21. He was selected by the Kings in the sixth round (#176 overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft. He had 36 points (18 goals, 18 assists) in 24 games played.
